With a lot of enthusiasm I installed Skype for linux yesterday- still struggling to have the sound running on my FC1 running KDE.
Anyone who faced similar problem and solved it, please help

Re: Seems like I am not the only one
Are you running with OSS drivers or ALSA? If all else fails, perhaps the ALSA drivers will provide full duplex audio.
Re: Seems like I am not the only one
Those Intel boards suck!
Did you try turning off artsd/$sounddaemon ?
ALSA is a probably a better option for full duplex sound. The OSS Lite has half-duplex and commercial OSS drivers are full featured in cases where they have paid $$$ to get the specs etc.
Booting into windows is not going to help… coz the win32 drivers are full featured.
