Herbs and Spices add layers of flavor, aroma and colors to the food. A good mix of the right spices can take even the most bland food to a completely different level of deliciousness. All you need to know is how each herb and spice will blend with the food you are cooking. Like, sweet and earthy spices like cinnamon, cloves and allspice team up very well with fruits like apples and bitter spices like turmeric and bay-leaf make vegetables like cauliflower and potatoes tasty. Earthy herbs like Rosemary, Thyme and Oregano are used in small quantities and make pastas and Risottos taste extremely delicious.
