so will my being last till your gracious glance gratifies

its “hone tak” not hote tak ………………….!!!

  2. Well basically partave khur means light of khurshid meaning sun shine, when falls upon a dew it will make it shine like a pearl.but at the same time because it curry’s heat so it will make the water evaporate too.fana .it will be no more.
So here ghalib is saying that like a sunshine on a dew grant me ur access ur love and i will be no more.
Its a lesson i hv learnt from sun and dew.

  3. “I desire to be favoured the kindness of your eyesight falling on me, even if it ends me after it dazzles me”

  4. Ghalib wrote hote tak. That was the language at that time. After 180 years, we think it should be hone tak. Meaning is the same.
