A Pipit

Paddyfield Pipit (Anthus rufulus)

Ambhazari is one of the prominent lakes of Nagpur, and one finds ample bird-life there. Pipits and larks, bee eaters and warblers, drongos and kites, apart from several species of ducks both residents as well as migrant.

I had taken a hiatus from bird photography (videography, rather) – but with the new lenses that we procured, and brand new camera bodies that accompanied; it was tough not to give in. While I love photography, birds are specially a challenge – they hardly stay still. So here is one that loves to think it’s well camouflaged.
