I have always wanted the job of writing those lovely astrological predictions. “Do not worry about the past; it is behind you even if the future lies ahead. With grit and determination you will overcome all obstacles.”
There was a series called “Secrets of the Magicians” on Star World recently; they asked an actress to make these kind of vague predictions to people who came for either “crystal ball” or “tarot” readings. Most of them actually refused to believe later that they had been conned; they insisted, on camera, that the fortune-teller had been amazingly accurate!
As far as accuracy goes, the Hindu has been predicting grandchildren for me since I was 16; I read the forecast for my Western sign (which is also in doubt…it could be Libra or Scorpio) and also for my Hindu astrological sign (Leo) AND mostly it is the kind of pfaff I could make up…
