Tahzeeb – Touching movie. Beautifully carved out characters, terse direction and good cuts. I always read reviews by Khalid Mohammad with a lot of interest, they always made wonder, how can this man be so critical – he had the knack of tearing a movie into bits. I now know how and why. The eye for details he has is rarely seen in directors. His choice of words, moments, people, songs, music -everything is just perfect. I love the man!!!
Oh! Is this the one with Urmila and Shabana? because I really, really want to see that. I also highly recommend ‘Chameli’.
Yes, this is the one where Urmila plays Shabana’s daughter the second time (after Masoom, movie that made me cry buckets when i was 15)
Chameli is on the list perhaps next weekend.
Pinjar is another one I want to see.
I loved Pinjar. It’s melodramatic and everything but I loved it. ‘Pinjar’ and ‘Chameli’ are chick flicks. That’s also why I want to see ‘Tehzeeb’.
