Futility

Move him into the sun–
Gently its touch awoke him once,
At home, whispering of fields unsown.
Always it awoke him, even in France,
Until this morning and this snow.
If anything might rouse him now
The kind old sun will know.

Think how it wakes the seeds–
Woke, once, the clays of a cold star.
Are limbs so dear-achieved, are sides
Full-nerved,–still warm,–too hard to stir?
Was it for this the clay grew tall?
–O what made fatuous sunbeams toil
To break earth’s sleep at all?

    1. War is destructive you cant expect anything productive out of it.

While people of Iraq may want change of regime, but definitely not through war.

Just a few months back we saw America attack Afghanistanin search of One Person – While Laden was never captured through this war, thousands of civilians paid dearly -specially the ones who were left alive to bear the consequences of a war distraught country.

Similar will be the fate of this war weather it lasts a few days or a few weeks

      1. I lived thru 7 years of the Iran-Iraq war (I was in Tehran from 1982 to 1988) and it was just terrible. Saw young kids barely in their teens marching off with guns… the slogans, the hatred, the propoganda on both sides… the shortages, the misery, the ever present fear… the shrieks of the missiles dropping from the sky, the screams of people injured… living from day to day, never knowing when your turn will come, when death will drop from the sky to claim you as its own…

Nothing can justify a war. Nothing.
